DAY 88-97: STILL CRUISING

WE are sitting on a bench, port-side, with our plates loaded up with a tasty seafood mix: mussels in the shell, deep-fried prawns and oysters and grilled fish with fresh salad vegetables.
Instead of our usual lunch in the main dining room below, the Tropical Bar  buffet on deck has been prepared specially so we don't miss this panoramic feast.
This morning very early, we called in to Kotor - a pretty town in Montenegro.
The few hours we had were spent taking camera shots from every angle dockside after arriving on our tender, walking around the harbour and towards the Old Town proper with sights such as the Town Clock (built 1602) and 16th century Town Gates, up through narrow alleyways and wrong turns that ended in residents' backyards, then making the sweaty climb up the stone steps to the fortifications (giving up less than halfway at the Our Lady of the Remedy Church, built 1518) and going snap-happy yet again.
But this is something else entirely.
We find that every few minutes, we are "rudely interrupted" by more awesome scenery and are forced to put down our plates and pick up the camera once more.
Majestic fjord scenery, mountains tumbling into the sea, quaint villages, ruins, a church on an island, multi-million-dollar yachts in a resort town marina.
Who said our 101-night holiday was winding down?

Lesson of the day: Always keep your eyes and ears open to the world around you.
Cat count: one billion.
