DAY 33-35: PRAGUE ... STILL

THE Vltava was calling us today. So we answered by soaking up its splendour from all angles.
We walked across it at the arched Cech Bridge (Cechuv Most) and into parkland at sprawling Letna Park (Letenske Sady) on Letna Hill to see it from above.
We walked alongside it and toasted it at one of our favourite spots at Klub Lavka.
We paddled/cycled a boat that looked like a dodgem car on it for an hour.
Finally, we booked a riverside table by Charles Bridge and gazed upon it until late into the evening.
We watched as every manner of vessel from flimsy timber raft to passenger ferry, tourist restaurant boat to barge plied its waters, or waited in line at its busy lock before chugging along once again.
On a hot autumn day in Prague, I couldn't think of any better place to while away a day.

Lesson of the day: If there's one thing Europe 101 has taught me so far, it's that you can still achieve a lot by doing very little at all. We seem to be masters at that.
